The office staff was extremely helpful about any questions asked about how to get somewhere or good places to eat. They were friendly and gracious at all times. ... Very simple and efficient. Sven was even nice enough to call arrange my cab for my very early morning pickup. The company was reliable and arrived promptly.

The bedroom was smaller than I expected but that would be my only criticism of this hotel. ... We were allowed to leave our car in the car park after check out time as we were not leaving the city immediately. This was a facility which we were very grateful for. ... Excellant location, ideal for sight seeing and shopping. Friendly and accommodating staff. Off street parking as a bonus.

The breakfast was excellent although the waitress had trouble understanding what we said and we had trouble understanding her also, leading to some slight confusion over our orders. There was also no milk with the tea tray in our room. A minor point, but a cup of tea is always welcome after a journey and to find no milk was a bit dissappointing. Other than those small points, it was excellent. ... A very good, clean hotel and well situated for the city centre. We'll go back.

Walton was the most expensive hotel we stayed in in Scotland and had the smallest room. It was well located and very clean, but the value for the money was not what we expected. The staff were most kind and efficient. ... Neat, clean, cramped.

We really enjoyed our stay @ the Walton. The breakfast was exceptional. ... An enjoyable stay at the Walton. It was a very quiet & clean hotel. I would say that it is much more like a bed & breakfast versus a hotel.

Nice to have parking on site. ... The room was rather cramped, the sheets were not of sufficient size and rather rough. Power shower was excellent as was heated towel rail. Shutters improved street noise. Breakfast good and politely served. ... The manager got out of bed early to attend to checkout, as I had inadvertently omitted to notice that checkout did not start before 9.30am. ... No ... Convenient, adequate but not spacious.
