Profile

Guests tell us that one of the most appealing assets of our bed and breakfast experience is they quickly feel relaxed and at home, and that our attention to detail is charming and outstanding.
Our location is unique.
We are in the suburbs of the great city of Edinburgh, yet our house is in the Pentland national park and overlooks the water of Leith and the foothills of the Pentlands.

The garden to the south of the house is sheltered and is a well tended cottage garden with many seating areas, where you can listen to the birds, or watch the heron fly past to settle on the river. Our rooms are all individual in style, and are an eclectic mix of antique and retro, with modern facilities to make your stay comfortable. We have furnished them with a thought for easy of use, elegance and charm, and the finishing touches are original works of art, books, and little useful accessories.

All rooms were refurbished in 2004 and 2005. Our shower rooms and bathroom were built in 2005 with thought for traditional modern fittings. We are currently the only five star Scottish Tourist Board B&B in Edinburgh. We also have five diamonds  from the AA. for our breakfast food from the "AA Accommodation Guide" in our first year of trading. We really enjoy having guests around, it brings the world to us without the travel. Reta is a recently retired senior quality advisor with the Scottish Tourist Board.
