Located in a rural area with views of the sea and a 2 acre garden, Toravaig House is a stylish, personally run country house hotel with beautifully decorated bedrooms and a restaurant serving the best of local meat, fish, lamb and dairy produce. The hotel was bought and completely refurbished in 2004 by hosts Anne and Ken. The restaurant has quickly earned a reputation for excellence and has been awarded an AA red Rosette and Hotel Review Silver Plate for dining. |
There is a fine selection of malt whiskies and fine wines to accompany the meal. The attractive bedrooms, with sleigh or brass beds, as well as the quality of service have been recognised by professionals of the industry as well as guests as Toravaig was voted Scottish Island Hotel of the Year 2005 at the Hotel Review Scotland Awards. |
The hotel was also awarded Conde Nast Johansens's "Most Excellent Service UK" Award for 2006. Launched at Easter 2006 is the Toravaig Yacht 'Solus' offering daily sailing for guests. The 36ft French built yacht sails to the Island of Rhum, Loch Nevis and Loch Hourn. A light lunch is provided and Ken and Anne will look after you for the day. |
