By Train
Exit from Waverley Station by road entrance, turning right up onto Princes Street. Cross over to the shops side for buses number 3, 31, 69, or 80 travelling east. Bus will immediately turn right onto North Bridge. Travel along main route until shops finish and hotels/guest houses begin. Exit on Minto Street - journey should take around 10 minutes.
By Car
From southwest - turn off A74 at Moffat. Follow A701 City Centre.
For all other routes take the city bypass - Edinburgh South. Continue until Straiton Junction and follow signs for A701/ City Centre/ Newington.
Thrums Private Hotel is on A701.
By Plane
From Edinburgh Airport follow the Edinburgh A8 trunk road to the Edinburgh Interchange. Follow signs for A720 Berwick and South onto city bypass. Continue on city bypass until Straiton Junction - leave the bypass and join A701 for city centre. If you prefer you can take the bus service, Airlink 100 and get off in the city centre. |
