We are on the A701 just 1.8 mile from the Waverley Train Station and 8.6 miles from Edinburgh Airport and approximately 1 mile walk from Princess Street, but it is only a few yards from the nearest bus stop, making it the ideal accommodation for those who prefer a quieter more relaxed and personal stay.

How To Reach Us

By car: from motorways A8 and A1 onto the A720 (city bypass). Leave city bypass at Loanhead exit & take A701 into town. We are approximately 3.5 miles from the Loanhead exit.

By train or air: we would always advise taking a taxi to the Guest House as it is quick, simple and error free.

By city bus: All bus stops in Edinburgh have little maps on them. Any bus going to the Newington area, just outwith the old town, is convenient for the Sherwood.
