Coming by Plane
From Edinburgh Airport take the "Airlink" bus shuttle service up to Shanwick Place/West End (just before Princes Street). Once there reach Princes Gate on foot and take Lothian Bus number 11. (walking along Princes Street you will find the stages for the main buses). Get off at "Bonnington Toll", walk for 50 metres and you will see the Sheridan Guest House (number 1 of Bonnington Terrace). Please note that Bonnington Terrace is part of Newhaven Road and as such may not be mentioned on some maps. If it is not mentioned on your map we are on the south side of junction of Newhaven and Ferry Road, opposite Pitt Street.
Coming by Train
The nearest railway station is "Waverley". Once there you can reach us taking bus number 11 from Princes Street (at the exit of the railway station cross left and you will reach Princes Street). Get off at "Bonnington Toll", walk for 50 metres and you will see the Sheridan Guest House (number 1 of Bonnington Terrace). Please note that Bonnington Terrace is part of Newhaven Road and as such may not be mentioned on some maps. If it is not mentioned on your map we are on the south side of junction of Newhaven and Ferry Road, opposite Pitt Street.
Coming by Car
From all directions follow the signs for the City Centre. When you arrive at Princes Street go to the East End and follow the signs for Leith. Once on Princes Street head away from the castle. Veer left into Leith Street (A900 Leith). Continue down Leith Street going straight over at the round a bout - you will pass the Playhouse Theatre on your right. Again, go straight over at the second round a bout taking you on to Leith Walk. Pilrig Street will appear on your left. At the end of Pilrig Street continue on Newhaven Road and you will arrive in Bonnington Terrace. The Guest House is located on the left hand-side at number 1. There is on-street car parking on Bonnington Terrace and adjoining streets. Usually there is no trouble finding a space to leave your car. |
