Lunch & Dinner: Gabbro bistro provides high quality Scottish cuisine in contemporary surroundings, and as a resident you can enjoy a variety of offers on our lunch and dinner menus. Lunch and dinenr menu offers 2 courses. Sample menu items include Starters: brie, apple and celery parcels, reducrrant and port jus, grilled haggis, fresh pea puree and thme scented jus. Mains: barbary duck breast, blackpudding rosti, red wine jus and rib of beef, dauphinoise potatoes, wile mushrooms. Dessert: fresh raspberry and white chocolate brulee, chocolate and whisky fudge cake with vanilla ice cream. |
Breakfast: served in Gabbro bistro and includes healthy options including fresh fruit salad, fruit juices, scottish yoghurts and organic porridge and organic homemade elderflower and blueberry muesli. All cooked breakfasts are prepared to order and include a full scottish grill, smoked haddock with tomatoes, french toast with carmelised apples, pancakes with fresh strawberries and maple syrup or 3-egg free range ommellete with sauteed mushrooms.
The bar provides a good selection of beers, wines and drinks and is perfect for a relaxing drink. Alternatively, you can enjoy the beautiful walled gardens for alfresco drinks or food. (weather permitting). |
We have extensive knowledge of Golf Courses in the city and surrounding area and would be delighted to help arrange tee times as well as to store your clubs during your stay. We have plenty of car parking for your cars and also garage facilities if you are travelling by bicycle, motor or push! |

Places of interest very close at hand include our famous Edinburgh Castle at the top of the Royal Mile, the new Scottish Parliament, Holyrood Palace (home to the Royal family in Edinburgh), The Royal Museum of Scotland and Holyrood Park where you can climb to the top of Arthurs Seat and look over the sea to the hills in Perthshire on a clear day. We are 5 minutes walk from the Queens Hall (venue for many music concerts) and 15 minutes walk from the Festival Theatre. If you prefer to use public transport, there are 12 different buses which all go to the city centre every 5/10 minutes. |
