I enjoyed being in a neighborhood rather than downtown.

The person was not at reception since they also work in the restaurant, but after the fact we noticed that there was a sign saying that if you can't find the receptionist, then they will be at the bar or restaurant. Room was available earlier than expected which was a pleasant surprise. ... We liked everything about the hotel. The only 2 things that we didn't like, was that the shower area in the bathtub was too small, and one of the twin beds was in a tiny alcove with walls closed in, so that you felt claustrophobic. Othwise the room looked like it would be part of a boutique hotel, which looked very attractive. ... Check out was good. They let us keep our luggage in an extra room for the day, no charge, until our train left in the late afternoon. They were right there at reception when we needed them to help us check out. ... The hotel is set in a beautiful neighborhood, with nice big homes surrounding it. Also, bus access is easy to have, especially to get into town. The restaurant-pub area is very nice, where there is a lovely skylight above part of the restaurant, and the view is very pretty from there. Also the pub attracts many people, since it has a big screen t.v., and a smaller one near it. The atmosphere of the pub is lively when the crowd is there, and it can also be quiet and pleasant. ... We would recommend this hotel to friends or other people, and tell them that the hotel is set inside an old mansion which is an attractive building.
