Ravensdown Guest House is situated on the north of the city on Ferry Road, opposite Golden Acre Playing Fields. We are on major bus routes from the city centre which take about 15 minutes. Numbers 8 17 23 and 27 the most frequent. Ferry Road being one of the main arteries in the city, is very easy to find whichever route you enter from the airport, the railway station or by car from north, south, east or west. Apart from Goldenacre playing fields, other notable landmarks close by are Botanic Gardens Stockbridge area Royal Yacht Britannia and the Port of Leith. |

From the Railway Station: take Lothian bus n.23 from Hanover Street which will take you over George Street, over Queen Street, down Dundas Street, along Inverleith Row, round the corner to Clark Road and to St. Surf's church on Ferry Road. We are 50 metres from the bus stop at house n.248.
From the Airport: Taxi, or Shuttle bus to city centre (get off at the main railway station), then Lothian bus n.23 from Hanover Street.
By Car: A1 east coast road- follow the signs for Leith, though Leith towards Ocean Terminal, turn left into North Junction street, then right into Ferry Road. We are about 1 mile on the right.
M8 from the west- turn left at the end of M8 then right towards city centre, turn left just before the Shell station onto Maybury Road, turn right at " T " junction onto Queensferry Road. Follow the signs to Leith (not City Centre), we are approx. 4 miles along that road, on the left hand side.
M74 / A702- Head towards city centre, Morningside, Brunsfield, Lothian Road, turn right into Princes Street, then first left into Charlotte Street, turn right into Queen Street, 3rd left into Dundas Street, Brandon Terrace, then turn left at the clock tower, past Botanic Gardens, to "T" junction. Turn right, we are 300 meters on the left. |
