Facilities within the Property

 
The Ravensdown Guest House offers spacious accommodation with en-suite or private shower room facilities in a beautiful Edwardian home. All our rooms are comfortably decorated and have TV and beverage making facilities. The house has spectacular views of the Edinburgh skyline from Carlton Hill to the Pentlands with Edinburgh Castle as the centre piece.
 

Accommodation comprises of a large dining room where
a delicious Scottish breakfast is served to set you up for a busy day of sightseeing.

A typical menu includes: Fruit juices, Cereals or porridge, Fresh Fruit, Yoghurt, A full Scottish breakfast or vegetarian alternative, Toast and preserves, Tea and freshly brewed coffee.

The residence
gives the opportunity to socialise and share information with other guests, alcoholic drinks are served on request. For those with a tasted for light entertainment a piano is available.
 
Golf: Edinburgh has some fabulous golf courses both in and around the city. We can organise bookings, transport, drying facilities for your golf equipment and secure off road parking if required. After a day's golfing down the coast at Guillane or North Berwick or futher afield in St. Andrews enjoy a tipple or two at the 19th without the worry of someone having to drive back.
 
We will arrange for you to be transported back to enjoy a night in the capital with
its numerous clubs, bars, restaurants and theatres. Special offers are available on golfing packages.
 

Tours: try to make time during your stay in Edinburgh to visit some of Scotland beautiful scenery and tourist attractions outside the capital.
We can organise tailor-made tours with private transport and a local guide.

Ravensdown Guest House is situated on the north side of the City within walking distance of The Royal Botanic Gardens. We are on a main bus route to The Port of Leith which is approximately 1 mile away. The city centre is approx. 1.5 miles away.

The Royal Mile (also know as High Street); Edinburgh Castle - "The Jewel in Scotland's Crown"; Mary King's Close - "Unlocking Edinburgh's Deepest Secret"; The Scotch Whisky Centre (beside Edinburgh Castle); Holyrood Palace; Queens Park; The New Parliament Building - opposite Holyrood Palace; Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh - walking distance from us.

Shopping is great in Edinburgh with
our famous Jenners department store and the new Harvey Nicks. George Street has a host of designer names and Princess Street has the more popular high street names. There are plenty of places to eat here just ask our advice when you come, we'll point you in the right direction.
