Coming by Car:
From South (England): Follow Carlisle and the M6, follow the M74 to M8 and A8 to Edinburgh, pass the Airport, through underpass at Gogar roundabout, straight through Maybury traffic lights into Glasgow road, and into St. John's road. Quaich Guest House is at number 87.
From North (Inverness): Follow A9 to Perth, M90 to Edinburgh, After the road bridge, drive straight into South Queensferry road, turn right at Drum Brae traffic light, drive over the hill, turn left at first Road roundabout into St. John's road. Quaich Guest House is at number 87.
From West (Glasgow): Follow M8 and A8 to Edinburgh, pass the Airport, pass Airport, through underpass at Gogar roundabout, straight through Maybury traffic lights into Glasgow road, and into St. John's road. Quaich Guest House is at number 87.
Coming by Plane:
Edinburgh airport is at approx. 8 km far from us. At the exit of the airport you find the stage for the bus number 100 called "Airlink" linking the airport to the city centre. Get off at "Edinburgh Zoo". Walk for few metres and you will see our B&B on the right hand-side.
Coming by Train:
Take the train to Edinburgh Waverly station or Haymarket, then take one of the buses above to Corstorphine. Bus n. 26 and 31 run every 10 min. Get off at "St. John's Road", you will see the B&B on the left hand-side at number 87.
Coming by Bus:
Bus links between Quaich and city centre: 2/12, 26, 31, 36, 48, 63, 69, 85, 86, Airlink 100, NS103, NS203. Please note that you need to have the exact fare!
Going from Quaich Guest House to City Centre: The bus stop across the road and 50 meters towards the airport direction. The journey takes approximately 10-15 minutes depending on the traffic.
Returning from City Centre (Princes Street): Look out for Edinburgh Zoo on your right hand side. The bus stop for Quaich is the third stop after the Zoo. The journey takes approximately 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. |
