 The Prince's House Hotel is situated in the village of Glenfinnan, 15 miles from Fort William. The A830 Fort William to Mallaig road passes through the village making it an ideal stoppping point on the way to or from Skye. The West Highland railway station at Glenfinnan is 2 or 3 minutes walk from the hotel, and buses to Fort William, Mallaig and Acharacle stop outside the Hotel. |

By car:
- From the South: take the A82 northward through Fort William, about 1 mile north turn left onto the A830 (signposted Mallaig), there is a BP petrol station at the junction. Continue on this road for 15 miles, when you reach Glenfinnan stay on the main road past the NTS visitor centre and the church, next you will see a sign for Glenfinnan railway station and a red telephone box. The hotel is 100 yards further on the right, car park on the left.
- From the North: take the A82 southward, as you enter the outskirts of Fort William turn right at the BP petrol station onto the A830. Directions from there are the same as above.
- From Mallaig: take the A830 (signposted Fort William), the hotel is on the left as you enter Glenfinnan, car park on the right.
By Train:
Alight at Glenfinnan railway station and walk down to the bottom of the station drive. Turn right, the hotel is about 100 yards further.
By Plane:
The closest airport is Inverness's, at 143 kilometers. the easiest way to reach us is to book a car there and follow the instructions stated above. |
