Facilities within the Property

All our dishes are home-made using the best local produce - trout and salmon, shellfish from Mallaig, Scottish beef and lamb and Great Glen venison. Wherever possible we source organic ingredients for our cooking and are in the process of developing an organic vegetable garden to provide the best produce for our dishes. We bake our own bread daily and make all our own ice-cream, desserts, scones and short bread.

Breakfast: it is a sumptuous feast of organic cereals, yogurt, fruit, eggs from our own chickens, local bacon and sausages, homemade muffins and preserves. Lunches: are served between 12pm and 3pm daily serving fresh seafood, venison burgers, smoked salmon, local cheeses, home-grown salads and homemade bread. The evening menu consists of a 4 course Table d'Hote menu which changes daily and always makes best use of seasonal produce.

As a single storey building, Old Pines is well suited to those with mobility requirements. There is wheelchair access throughout the house and many of the bedrooms were designed with disabled guests in mind. We have a selection of books and DVDs for those long wet afternoons, and for those who have come unprepared, welly boots and maps are available for you to use.

Children are especially welcome. Cots and high chairs are available. There are two family rooms and a family suite. We also have an outdoor play area with play house and trampoline, and games and DVDs to keep them amused in the evenings.
