  • At what time can we check-in and out?
    Check-in: from 3.00 pm.
    Check-out: before midday. Please let us know in advance what time you intend to check in.
  • Is the price per room/apartment or per person?
    The Price is per person.
  • Is breakfast included in the price and what type of breakfast?
    Breakfast is included and comprises of a full Scottish breakfast and cold buffet.
  • Is heating included in the price?
    Yes, heating included.
  • Can we settle the bill on arrival?
    No. Full payment is due 60 days prior to arrival.
  • Which languages are spoken at the reception?
    English.
  • How many floors are there in the building and do you have an elevator (lift) in the building?
    There are three floors and no lift.
  • Are there quiet, private, romantic rooms?
    There are a number of quiet, private rooms - the Library, the Drawing Room, the Study, the Victorian Kitchen and the Family Room.
  • Are linens and towels provided or do I need to bring my own?
    Yes, linen and towels are provided.
  • Do the rooms/apartments have a terrace/courtyard?
    The Castle is set within 44 acres of private ground.
  • Do the rooms/apartments have a balcony?
    There are no balconies.
  • Do you have non smoking rooms/apartments?
    All the bedrooms are non-smoking.
  • Is there a TV in the rooms/apartments? Are there international channels (satellite TV)?
    TV's are available in the rooms on request. Satellite TV is available in the Library and the Family Room.
  • Is there a telephone with direct dialling in the rooms/apartments?
    Yes, telephone available.
  • Is there air conditioning in the rooms/apartments? Is there any extra charge for this? Is it seasonal?
    There is no air conditioning.
  • Is there a dining room where we could sometimes all dine together?
    As the Castle is exclusive use, the dining room is the main setting for all meals.
  • Do you have an Internet/E-Mail point in the Property?
    Yes, available on request.
  • Is there a swimming pool? When is it open?
    No.
  • Is parking or garage available?
    The Parking is available.
  • Where can we rent a car?
    We can arrange car hire for our clients or they can book direct at Edinburgh Airport.
  • Are there grocery stores or supermarkets in the surroundings?
    There is a supermarket in Glenrothes (15 mins drive) and the villages of Falkland and Auchtermuchty have small grocery stores.
  • Which is the nearest airport?
    Edinburgh Airport.
  • Do you have a pickup or shuttle service from and to the airport?
    Transfers can be arranged.
  • Which is the nearest railway station?
    Ladybank (10 minutes drive).
  • Is there a fitness center in the Property (Gym, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Turkish bath...)?
    No. We have a private Tennis Court and can arrange extra activities such as spa treatments.
  • Are pets welcome?
    No, sorry pets not allowed.
  • Is there a restaurant in the Property?
    No. All meals are cooked by our resident chef for our clients only
  • Can I connect my modem so that I can surf the Internet from my room/apartment?
    Yes.
