Coming by Car-
Directions for approaching the MW Townhouse are as follows
From West: via M8, A8, take A720 City Bypass South for several km to Sheriff Hall Roundabout, take exit A7 City Centre to Cameron Toll Roundabout and follow round under railway bridge, then first left onto Dalkeith Road (A7) for approx. 2,5 km and MW is situated on the left hand side at number 11.
Alternatively access MW via Edinburgh City Centre as follows: via M8 (City Bypass North), M9, A8, M90 signs City Centre then Corstorphine, Haymarket, Lothian Road, Meadows, Dalkeith Road (Commonwealth Pool) and MW is situated approx 100 metres down hill on right hand side at number 11.
From East: M1/A1-take signs for Edinburgh East, take exit Newcraighall/Fort Kinnaird/Craigmiller (B&Q, Wickes and Fort Kinnaird Shopping Centre can be seen from road just before exit); left at roundabout, over next two roundabouts and follow road straight on through shopping centre to traffic lights. Straigh on to next main traffic lights, straight over to Cameron Toll roundabout and go right around about (4th exit) onto Dalkeith Road (Old Town/A7) and MW is approx. 2,5 km up on left hand side at number 11.
From South: From M64/Carlisle/Bigger/Peebles join A720 sign posted for City Bypass South/East to Sheriff Hall roundabout. Take exit A7 City Centre to Cameron Toll roundabout and follow round under railway bridge, then first left onto Dalkeith Road (A7) for approx. 2,5 km up on left hand side at number 11.
From North: M90 via Forth Bridge, sign posted Edinburgh City Centre (A90) Queensferry Road, Queensferry Street, Melville Street, Shandwick Place, Lothian Road, Meadows, Dalkeith Road (Commonwealth Pool) and MW is situated approx 100 metres down hill on right hand side at number 11.
Coming by Train-
The MW Townhouse is situated on Dalkeith Road. There are two train stations in Edinburgh - Waverley and Haymarket. Taxis are available from both stations. If you prefer to walk, Haymarket station is about 25 minutes' walk and Waverley is about 15 minutes' walk.
Coming by Air-
The Edinburgh Airport is located to the west of the city, approximately 12 km from the MW Townhouse. Taxi journey time is approximately 25 minutes.
Alternatively, there is an inexpensive and frequent bus service to the city centre. Once in the city centre take bus n. 14, 30 or 33 (Lothian bus) or n. 86 (First bus)up to Newington Road. Take Dalkeith Road and walk for 100 metres up to Spence Street. The MW townhouse is situated few metres far from the bus stop, at number 11 of Spence street. |
