For those wishing to dine less formally we also have our Upper Deck Lounge Bar. Beautifully designed on a split level with wood panelling and stained glass, it offers a superb outlook onto the Caledonian Canal and Ben Nevis. From these wonderful surroundings you can have a hearty meal from our seasonal bar menu, which, offers a wide variety of dishes, along with our daily changing specials board, both of which are served throughout the day. |
On summer evenings our Cellar Bar - Mariners - is open for drinks. This previous winner of a Guiness Bar Design Award is based on a nautical theme and is decorated with many interesting artefacts. Its casual pub atmosphere is popular with both locals and visitors alike. During summer months why not take advantage of our secluded garden. The ideal place to enjoy a light snack or refreshment on a sunny day. |

Lochaber is the "Outdoor Capital of the UK", and as such has an abundance of activities available for our visitors. With nearby Aonoch Mor offering the highest slopes in Scotland, ski-ing, snowboarding and sledging are on your doorstep at Nevis Range. Alternatively you can take a trip to the top on the gondola and enjoy the wonderful view. The area is also one of the premier sites for activities such as climbing, hill walking, fishing and mountain biking with the mountain bike world cup held here in the summer. For bike hire visit Off Beat Bikes and test your own abilities on the trails. For the less energetic, a visit to the West Highland Museum is an enjoyable option or you can pop in to the Ben Nevis Distillery and sample our local brew. In the summer months the area comes alive with the sound of the Jacobite Steam train on its journey on the West Highland Line to Mallaig - a must for everyone. Why not take advantage of the hotels affiliation with Fort William Golf Club and enjoy a complimentary round of golf at this championship, 18 hole course. Situated in the shadow of Ben Nevis, this moorland golf course offers some of the best views available and while playing on this 6217 yard course there is always the chance of spotting some of our local wildlife such as the Red Deer or the Buzzard.
