 Mona's Guest House is ideally located for access to Edinburgh Aiport, the City Centre, Murrayfield Stadium and Edinburgh Zoo. Edinburgh airport bus (20 minutes journey), city centre buses (10 minutes journey) buses to Glasgow (45 minutes journey) and from Glasgow Prestwick Airport stop right outside the house. We are in walking distance to good local restaurants and next door to a local pub serving lunches and evening meals. We have secure off-street parking available for our guests. |

Coming by Car:
If you are travelling from the North and M90 over Forth Bridge head towards Edinburgh Airport and Murrayfield and continue on A8. Drive through Corstorphine Village and you will find us on the right hand side just opposite the Edinburgh Zoo.
If you are coming from the Airport bear left into the A8 towards the City Centre. Carry on this road for 4 miles and you will find us on the right hand side just after Corstorphine village.
If you are travelling from the West and Glasgow on M8, just continue on the A8 towards the Edinburgh airport and again through Corstorphine Village with directions as above.
If you are travelling from Glasgow Prestwick Airport, you may take the Scot Rail to Glasgow Central Station and change to the 900 Bus to Edinburgh (50 minutes). This bus stops at Edinburgh Zoo (opposite the Guest House).
If you are coming by car from the City Centre and Princes street head westwards on the A8. Carry on for 3 miles and you will find us on the left hand side just opposite the Edinburgh Zoo and a large Holiday Inn Complex.
Coming by Plane:
Take Airlink shuttle bus up to Edinburgh Zoo. Mona Guest House is just on the right hand-side, at number 2 of Downie Terrace.
Coming by Train:
From Haymarket railway station you can reach us by taxi (5 min.) or by bus (the bus stop is just opposite the railway station). From Waverley station reach Princes Street on foot (it is the main street of Edinburgh) and catch one of these buses: 12, 26, 31 and 86. They all stop at Edinburgh Zoo. You will see the guest house on your left at number 2 of Downie Terrace. |
