  • At what time can we check-in and out?
    All accommodations, Check In from 1pm until 8pm, Check Out before 11am. Please let us know in advance what time you intend to check in.
  • Is the price per room/apartment or per person?
    The price is per person.
  • Is breakfast included in the price and what type of breakfast?
    Yes, breakfast is included in the price.
  • Is heating included in the price?
    Yes, it is.
  • Can we settle the bill on arrival?
    Yes, as you prefer.
  • Which languages are spoken at the reception?
    Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and English.
  • How many floors are there in the building and do you have an elevator (lift) in the building?
    There are two floors in the building. All letting rooms are on the ground floor. The dining room is on the Garden level. There is no lift in the building.
  • Are there quiet, private, romantic rooms?
    Most of our rooms are overlooking the beautiful Pentland Hills and are very romantic and quiet. All rooms are funished with antique oak furniture, original fire places and cornices.
  • Are linens and towels provided or do I need to bring my own?
    Linens, towels and shower gel are provided.
  • Do the rooms/apartments have a terrace/courtyard?
    The rooms have unfortunately no terrace/courtyard.
  • Do the rooms/apartments have a balcony?
    The rooms have no balcony but splendid views!
  • Do you have non smoking rooms/apartments?
    All guest rooms are non smoking.
  • Is there a TV in the rooms/apartments? Are there international channels (satellite TV)?
    There is a TV in all rooms with five British Channels.
  • Is there a telephone with direct dialling in the rooms/apartments?
    There is no telephone in the rooms.
  • Is there air conditioning in the rooms/apartments? Is there any extra charge for this? Is it seasonal?
    There is no air conditioning in the rooms.
  • Is there a dining room where we could sometimes all dine together?
    Yes, we have a cozy dining room which you and up to 7 guests can use to dine together.
  • Do you have an Internet/E-Mail point in the Property?
    We do not have Internet/e-mail facilities for our guests but if you need to check or receive e-mails we can arrange this on request.
  • Is there a swimming pool? When is it open?
    There is no swimming pool within the premises.
  • Is parking or garage available?
    We have secure parking within the premises, further off street parking also available.
  • Where can we rent a car?
    You may rent a car Next door to our Guest House, at Robinson Car Hire.
  • Which is the nearest airport?
    Edinburgh Airport is approx. 15 minutes bus journey away and the Airport Bus stops right outside the house.
  • Do you have a pickup or shuttle service from and to the airport?
    We do not have a pickup or shuttle service from and to the airport but the Airlink (airport shuttle bus) stops right outside the house.
  • Which is the nearest bus-stop?
    Edinburgh Zoo, right outside the premises.
  • Which is the nearest railway station?
    Edinburgh Haymarket which is approx. 10 minutes bus journey (2 km). Edinburgh Waverley is approx. 20 minutes bus journey (4 km).
  • Is there a fitness center in the Property (Gym, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Turkish bath...)?
    No, there is not.
  • Are pets welcome?
    No, sorry.
  • Is there a restaurant in the Property?
    No, there is no restaurant in the Property. There is a pub next door however serving lunches and evening meals.
  • Can I connect my modem so that I can surf the Internet from my room/apartment?
    No, you can not.
