- At what time can we check-in and out?
Check-in is ordinarily after 2pm, however, earlier check-in may be possible with prior arrangement. Luggage can be left at Reception and picked up when returning later. Guests should check out of their rooms by 11 am. Again, luggage can be left at Reception until later. - Is the price per room/apartment or per person?
Prices quoted are per room. - Is breakfast included in the price and what type of breakfast?
Full Scottish breakfast is included in all prices. A cold buffet table and cereals are provided including fruits yogurts, ham & cheese, with a selection of cooked breakfast options to follow. - Can we settle the bill on arrival?
Accommodation charges may be paid in advance, on arrival or departure. Incidentals such as bar bills must be paid on departure, after they have been accrued. - Which languages are spoken at the reception?
English. - How many floors are there in the building and do you have an elevator (lift) in the building?
Guests' rooms are on the second, third and fourth floors, with public rooms on the ground floor and first floor. A passenger lift provides access to all floors. - Are there quiet, private, romantic rooms?
Yes, we recommend our master bedroom for that special weekend. - Do the rooms/apartments have a terrace/courtyard?
A key for Drumsheugh Gardens (private enclosed gardens) across the road is available to hotel guests on request. - Do the rooms/apartments have a balcony?
No, but there is a small balcony off the Dining Room. - Do you have non smoking rooms/apartments?
Yes. - Is there a TV in the rooms/apartments? Are there international channels (satellite or cable TV)?
All rooms have television with the five terrestrial channels. - Is there a telephone with direct dialling in the rooms/apartments?
Yes, and a payphone is available downstairs. - Is there air conditioning in the rooms/apartments? Is there any extra charge for this? Is it seasonal?
No, air conditioning is not usually required in Scotland, but for those odd occasions, a fan can be provided in your room. - Do you have an Internet/E-Mail point in the Property?
Not at present. - Is there a swimming pool? When is it open?
No. - Is parking or garage available?
Parking is available on the street outside, on a pay-and-display basis between 8.20 am and 6.30 pm. Parking is free at night and all Sunday. Alternatively, free on-street parking is available in Learmonth, a pleasant ten-minute walk away. - Where can we rent a car?
Various car rental firms operate from locations in the city centre. - Which is the nearest airport?
Edinburgh airport is a twenty-minute taxi ride from the hotel. - Do you have a pickup or shuttle service from and to the airport?
A regular bus service runs every ten minutes (less frequently at night); the nearest stop is a few minutes walk from the hotel. - Which is the nearest railway station?
Haymarket station is ten minutes away on foot. The mainline Waverley Station, on Princes Street, is about twenty minutes away. - Is there a fitness center in the Property (Gym, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Turkish bath...)?
No. - Are pets welcome?
By prior arrangement. We ask that pets not be left unattended in guest bedrooms. - Is there a restaurant in the Property?
The nearest restaurant is 100 yards from our front door, and there are dozens to choose from within a few minutes of us, to suit all tastes and budgets. - Can I connect my modem so that I can surf the Internet from my room/apartment?
Yes - just enter the switchboard pre-fix "9".
