Inverness airport on the Scottish mainland is served by London airports. There are frequent flights to Scotland for our guests arriving on transatlantic flights. From Inverness guests can take either make the scenic railway journey or take a taxi.

By Car
According to a recent survery of sports car owners the A87 between Ivergarry and the Isle of Skye is the best road to drive in Britain! Participants voted for this road because of its "challenging turns and almost traffic-free motoring". The most direct route from the south is via the A87 from Invergarry. After crossing onto the Isle of Skye by bridge from Kyle of Lochalsh, turn left at the first roundabout and the you will find the entrance to the MacKinnon Country House Hotel just fifty yards on your right hand side.

By Rail
From the south take the train to Inverness. There you change to a train bound for Kyle of Lochalsh and you can enjoy a scenic journey that features in the book entitled 'Most scenic train journeys in the UK.' It really is a wonderful journey. At Kyle you can catch the bridge bus or take a taxi across to the hop to the island.

Coaches' travellers from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness can alight outside the hotel.
