Scotland's vast coastline means that fishing has always been a way
of life for many of the Scots. Ocean fishing is a traditional activity
that began during the ancient times and today Scotland is the largest
fishing region in the British Isles.
From the Atlantic Ocean and the North Sea the Scots fish for lobsters,
haddock, crabs and mussels. From the inland waterways the Scots
fish for salmon, pike, and trout. The Scottish Highlands are world
famous for high quality smoked salmon, trout and seafoods.
