The Lindsay guest house has been officially trading for 35 years. The guest house is now run personally by Keith and Pamela Jeffs who commenced business late in 2002. Lindsay guest house is a charming red sandstone Victorian listed building which has been tastefully decorated throughout, has a high standard of cleanliness and delights guests with attention to detail and finishing touches. The guest house is located in the highly desirable residential area of Merchiston but is only 10 minutes by bus to the city centre. |
There are 2 regular buses that run from outside the front door of the guest house taking you a short journey to the city centre and Royal mile (castle). Immediately to the rear of the guest house is the Union Canal. The canal is a haven for wildlife and you can cycle and walk for miles along the banks, take barge rides or even canoe or row if you feel energetic. |
Private parking at the front of the house and no restrictions on street make this an ideal spot for those traveling by car or indeed hiring a car. The Craiglockhart sports centre and both Myreside and Meggetland playing fields are within walking distance as are the Napier university Campuses at Merchiston, Craiglockhart and Craighouse. Lindsay guest house is convenient for those attending George Watsons college, Merchiston Castle school, the Corn exchange and is also well placed for buses to the Herriot Watt university. |
For those wishing to attend rugby Internationals or indeed major concerts held at Murrayfield it is only a crowds roar away. The Lindsay guest house is well placed for exploring the delights of Edinburgh but is also an ideal base for those wishing to explore the surrounding areas. The building is really well furnished and it offers a refined accommodation, in a family and at the same time elegant ambience. |
