I arrived late at night (around 23.30) and received a warm welcome. Everything was great.

I enjoyed the conversation I had with the owner in the morning, and he made a great breakfast. It was unfortunate that I had to leave so early on the second day and could not sample something else on the menu.

I had to leave quite early, and the owner even called a cab for me the day before. The cab was right on time. Everything was like clockwork!

Why not add the friendly staff and good food? I was surprised to actually see a menu with choices. Most places put out cereal, bread, cheese, and a bit of fruit. This was just delightful! I would also mention that guests receive a key so that they can get in the building and their room at any hour. This would be reassuring to those, like me, who plan to explore.

The staff was helpful and friendly, and the accommodations were quite comfortable. Unlike a regular hotel, I feld that I was at home or on a visit at a friend's home.

Parking was a problem as we arrived on afternoon of a major football match at nearby Murrayfield stadium. Guesthouse has no offstreet parking. Street parking was OK on all other days.

Very welcoming. Our hostess was able to accommodate our early check-in.

The beds in our room (2 twins) were not the greatest, consider replacing the mattresses.

Breakfast was fabulous! We never expected to have so many choices. Our only suggestion-When on holidays, we are not always ready for breakfast before 9:00am. We didn't request a later breakfast,though, so as not to disrupt our hostess's schedule. If later breakfast is available, perhaps this could be noted.

A clean, friendly place to stay, easily accessed by bus. The breakfasts are fabulous!
