By Plane
The nearest airport is Edinburgh airport. From there, you can get a taxi which will bring you directly to the bed and breakfast. If you prefer a cheaper choice, you can take the bus service, number 100 to Edinburgh city centre. Then you have to take the bus numbers 10 or 27 and get off at Gilmore Place: the bus stop is in front of the house.
By Car
Approaching the city centre from the west, the M8/A8 to the A702, turn right up Lothian Road, carry on through Home Street. Turn right opposite the Kings Theatre into Gilmore Place/Lochrin Buildings. The Kingsview Guest House is 350 meters along on the right. (Look out for the red rose arch over the Thistle Gate). Next door to the Braveheart Guest House. Approaching the city centre from the East or South via A1, A7, A68, A702. Take the city bypass the A720, continue for 5 km to the city centre. Turn left opposite the Kings Theatre along Gilmore Place/Lochrin Buildings. The Kingsview Guest House is along on the right. (Look out for the red rose arch over the Thistle Gate). Next door to the Braveheart Guest House.
By Train
Coming from Haymarket or Waverley station you have just to take the bus number 10 or 27 and get off at Gilmore Place. |
