The hotel boasts two bars and two restaurants, offering a wide selection of drinks and food. The BarZest is an altogether different atmosphere where 'locals' and hotel guests mix in a bright glass fronted bar, with outside seating areas and a range of bar food, BarZest has a lively atmosphere. It is open all day. |
The Rosemount is a small intimate bar, recently remodeled in a contemporary style whilst retaining old fashioned charm and comfort. It is situated adjacent to the reception area and was once 'Mother Superior's office' in the days when the hotel was a convent. It is the ideal spot for a pre dinner drink or a late night 'bleather' over a few 'drams'. |
Options Bistro is a popular eating place with a wide range of favourites such as steaks, pizza and salmon as well as more unusual items such as char grilled vegetables with risotto and tomato salsa. Options is open from 10am to 10pm with its delicious bakeshop menu in operation 3 to 6pm. |
Lauders Restaurant is traditional in many ways, offering both table d'hôte and à la carte menus, a wide range of wines on offer. Food could best be described as contemporary European. Lauders offers traditional standards of hospitality and service. As well as lunches and dinners, we also serve both continental and full Scottish breakfast here. |

The Kings Manor Hotel is in the eastern suburbs, around 10, 15 minutes from the city centre itself yet only a few hundred meters from Edinburgh's golden sands at Portobello beach. As one of the world's great cities, Edinburgh is always at the head of every list of places to visit, whether for a short break in Scotland, a weekend break in Edinburgh or places to hold a conference in Scotland. The very heart of the city is dominated by ancient volcanic plugs that today form Corstorphine and Calton hills, Arthur's Seat and Castle hill. There are enough art galleries, museums, libraries, historic houses, castles, palaces and cathedrals to visit to occupy you for years without seeing the same thing twice. Performing arts are showcased at the annual festival in August. Here over 6000 separate performances in a huge range of venues take place in 21 days. Outside this period the pace is less hectic but the range just as wide. Opera, ballet, theatre, classical music, jazz, west end musical theatre and pop and rock bands perform every week in Edinburgh. Sports enthusiasts are well catered for with professional football and rugby teams in the city, the Commonwealth games pool and stadium, bowling greens by the hundred, 72 golf courses within the city boundaries and double that within 40 minutes drive. |
