I have only one minor concern. Internet access could have been better. I don't quite understand why the signal level was so weak. If the owners are concerned about pirating, they can easily implement password protection. For me it was important, as I needed good Internet access for my professional activities. Otherwise, everything was just perfect. The place has its exceptional ambiance, and I would love to stay there again some day. ... An excellent place to stay, with its own relaxing ambiance. Trivial, fast, and conveniently frequent bus connection to downtown (which is walking distance by some people's standards). Nice surrounding areas. Walking distance do the main university campus. I hope to stay there again some day.

There was no soap - luckily I had taken a soap bar from another hotel. Window was wedged closed, and it was very stuffy. They turn the sign off at night - which made it difficult to spot the property while taking the night buses. ... This accomodation requests that you settle you bill the eve before checking out. I told them that morning, that I would be out late. The woman requested I settle that morning instead. After waiting in line for 20 minutes, I finally am ready to settle my bill - and the gentleman tells me to come back and do it the next morning when I check out. I insisted that I had been in line for 20 minutes, and that I did not need to be delayed the next morning when I had a train to catch. He went ahead and settled the bill, but seemed bothered about it. ... They do not provide soap to customers. ... Very negative feeling about it.

We arrived safe and sound. We were greeted by the Owner's and she was very polite, warm and welcomed us with open arms. She told us our rooms were ready, gave us keys, explained breakfast times etc. The rooms were great, very homey and comfortable. Great place to stay. I would recommend it to all of my friends who might be traveling to Scotland. ... Great place to stay!
