I dont recall directions on the website and obviously didnt have had them with me, but I got a bus part of the way and found the street with a bit of luck.

The staff were very accommodating providing assistance and friendly service.

The hotel was small and the beds were not the best, but the staff were very positive and helpful. I have traveled a lot in Europe and this would be a three-star hotel if based on staff and service. Two stars are appropriate for the size of the rooms and up-to-date colours/furnishings and shower.

A surprise here and at other European hotels during this trip was the number of staff in English-speaking countries that did not speak English. There were many EU staff which is great, but language was sometimes a barrier when dealing with behind-the-scenes staff.

The Herald House is a small hotel with very pleasant staff and a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are small and a bit tired, but it is clean and value for money.

Our room was pleasantly quiet considering the construction going on behind the building. The shower was not consistent with hot water unless it was on the lowest volume setting which was somewhat unpleasant.
