Bar and restaurant very attractive and food good. Accomodation clean but basic. Park and stay package well worth the money, transfers prompt and efficient.

No one at the desk, several minutes before anyone appeared make up for it by being extremely friendly and helpful ... Staff very happy for us to leave are bags till early evening on the day we booked out at no extra cost. We were a little early for our bus so watched the tennis and had a drink in the bar while we waited, very helpful and friendly. Our stay in Scotland very enjoyable ... as above in 14

The breakfast time finishes early at 09:00; especially in the weekend 10:00 or later would be more appropiate. ... decent hotel with a good price/value combination

When we arrived, the owners of the hotel decided to move us from a quadruple room to a very big apartment (2 big bedrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 living room and 2 bathrooms) at a walking distance (about 400 mt) in order to give us more space. We had a lot of space even we moved every morning to the hotel for the breakfast. They were very polite. ... A good place to stay for a short holiday in edinburgh

The Haymarket Hotel was a great place to stay. It was very close to the train station, however, it took as long to catch the train as it did to walk to downtown. If you don't like walking or waiting for trains, you probably want to get a room closer to Waverly train station. If you don't mind alot of walking or waiting, the Haymarket is perfect. Our family room was spacious and very well decorated. The bathroom was small, as was the sink in the bathroom, but the rooms were very clean and comfortable.

The hotel was very busy - a party in the bar - but the receptionist greeted us well and showed us to our rooms. ... The staff were excellent - always cheerful and friendly. The breakfast was very chaotic as there were insufficient covers for the number of guests. We had to queue on both days that we stayed. ... Mention the problem with breakfast! ... Probably wouldn't recommend - not good value given the problem described above. It felt more like a TravelLodge and was more expensive.

No one was there to let me in although I had told them I would arrive late at night, I had to wait outside for a very long time, luckily I had a phone number with me so I could contact them. I was never asked to check in. ... The room was freezing cold.
