From Edinburgh Airport
The simplest way is to take a taxi to Lady Road which should take no more than 20 minutes. For those who wish to be more independent take the city bus to the centre and then follow directions as below from Waverley Station
By car from Edinburgh Airport
Follow the A8 trunk road to the "Edinburgh Interchange". Follow signs for A720 Berwick and South then continue as below (from Glasgow).
By car from South M6/A74
From the A74 take the A702 at Abington Services through Biggar which will bring you on to the A720 City Bypass. Go round both roundabouts and join the Bypass where signposted "Edinburgh South & East". Leave the Bypass at the first junction marked "Straiton Junction", join the A701 and follow the signs for City Centre. After 2.5 miles (4 km) bear right at the major junction following signs for Cameron Toll onto Lady Road and we are opposite Cameron Toll Shopping Centre.
By car from South M1
Take the A68 from Scotch Corner, through Jedburgh and Dalkeith. After Dalkeith the road will merge with the A7 where you should follow the City Centre signs. When nearing the City Centre you will approach a large roundabout under a rail bridge. Take the 2nd exit (marked on the road Lady Road) and we are on the right hand side.
Alternatively: Take the A1 round the coastal route and join the A720 City Bypass as you approach the city. Leave the Bypass at the first junction (Sheriffhall Roundabout) and join the A7 signposted Edinburgh where it merges with the A68. Then as above.
By car from Glasgow
The M8 Motorway now terminates at a roundabout known as the "Edinburgh Interchange". On the roundabout take the third exit signposted "Edinburgh South & East" and join the A720 City Bypass. Continue on the bypass until Straiton junction, leave the bypass and join the A701 as for M6 traffic.
By car from North M90
Follow signs for City Centre, Princes Street, Berwick Upon Tweed A1 & East which will take you along Queen Street. Turn right at the roundabout ("All other routes") and up Leith Street, keeping The Omni Centre on your left and John Lewis Department Store on your right. Go straight on under a bridge/walkway and on to the traffic lights turn left on to North Bridge, keeping the New Balmoral Hotel on your right. Continue straight on until the road becomes Minto Street then Mayfield Gardens then Craigmillar Park at the lights turn left and we are the 3rd house on the left.
By Rail
Exit from Waverley Station by road entrance turning right up on to Princes Street. Cross over to the shops side for buses numbered 3, 31, 69 or 80 travelling East the bus will immediately turn right on to North Bridge. Travel along the main route until the shops come to an end and Hotels/Guest Houses commence. Exit on Graigmillar Park at St Margrets School/Cameron Toll continue to the junction turning left onto Lady Road. Bus journeys should take around 10 minutes. |
