By Air: There are several options from Edinburgh Airport. By taxi it will cost about £16.00, or there is an airport bus into the city centre, which will cost about £4.00 per person. From the city centre, follow the directions for rail travellers. There are also car hire facilities at the airport; if you take this option, follow the directions for travellers by car.
By Rail: On arriving at Waverley Station, there is a taxi rank adjacent to the platforms. The taxi fare is between £4.50 to £6.50, depending on traffic. Alternatively, leave the station, walk to Princes Street or North Bridge and take an Edinburgh Transport bus number 3, 7, 8, 18, 21, 31, 37, 69, 80, 81 and C11. The bus travels south from North Bridge on a direct road, which changes name almost after each junction. After about 10 minutes, the street name changes to Mayfield Gardens. Dismount at this point and cross the street to Brights Crescent. Second left off the street is Moston Terrace, a brief two-minute walk.
By Car: Heading north on the A1, A7 or A68, take City bypass heading West. Arriving on M90, M9, M8 or A70 or from Edinburgh Airport, take the City bypass heading East. Exit City bypass at Straiton Junction, and head towards Edinburgh South on A701. After approximately 4 miles, on Mayfield Gardens, turn left onto Brights Crescent; Moston Terrace is the second opening on the left. |
