Welcome to Fairholme Guest House. The house is a semi detached Victorian villa built in 1884 and still retains many of the architectural features of the period. The majority of the houses in the area date from the last twenty years of the 19th century. |
The stones from which the houses have been built are much older, and were formerly used in the construction of a prison some half-mile south of the present location!
Your hosts, Douglas and Barbara Blows have offered accommodation services on the present site for over fourteen years. |
Fairholme is situated in a quiet Victorian terrace, nestled between two of Edinburgh’s arterial roads, Mayfield Road and Mayfield Gardens.
We are also close to bus routes without being disturbed by traffic noise with quick and easy access to the centre, as well as ample free parking space. |
In Edinburgh there is much to satisfy many different tastes, from the historic, architectural and literary wealth present as part of the living city, to the vibrant festivals that take place throughout the year.
With the backdrop of the Castle, Edinburgh can also boast one of the most beautiful shopping streets in the world. |
