- At what time can we check-in and out?
Check in time is normally 4.00 pm however with prior arrangement an earlier arrival is not a problem however if the arrival is earlier than midday you may be asked to leave luggage only and return later. Check out time is 10.30 am. Luggage may be left for later collection by prior arrangement. Please let us know in advance what time you intend to check in. - Is the price per room/apartment or per person?
Prices quoted are per person. - Is breakfast included in the price and what type of breakfast?
Prices include full breakfast, orange juice, choice of cereal, cooked breakfast or choice of continental breakfast options and tea toast and marmalade/jam. By prior arrangement all dietary requirements can be accommodated. - Is heating included in the price?
The guest house is provided with full central heating throughout. - Can we settle the bill on arrival?
Bills may be settled in advance of arrival, on arrival or on departure. Payments by cheque must be covered by a cheque guarantee card. - Which languages are spoken at the reception?
English. - How many floors are there in the building and do you have an elevator (lift) in the building?
The guest house is on three floors most accommodation is on the first floor, there are no ground floor bedrooms or lift. - Are there quiet, private, romantic rooms?
The guest house is nestled between two of the main routes into the city centre from the south and does not suffer from intrusive traffic noises. Due to the intimate size of the guest house all our rooms are private, the romantic aspect we hope you will bring with you. - Are linens and towels provided or do I need to bring my own?
Bed linen and towels are provided. - Do the rooms/apartments have a terrace/courtyard?
No. - Do the rooms/apartments have a balcony?
No. - Do you have non smoking rooms/apartments?
The guest house is totally no smoking throughout. - Is there a TV in the rooms/apartments? Are there international channels (satellite TV)?
There is a colour TV in all rooms. - Is there a telephone with direct dialling in the rooms/apartments?
There is a payphone for the use of guests in the reception hall. - Is there air conditioning in the rooms/apartments? Is there any extra charge for this? Is it seasonal?
No. - Is there a dining room where we could sometimes all dine together?
There is a communal breakfast room with separate tables for each room. We are amply provided in the near vicinity with many fine restaurants. We will be delighted to discuss these options with you. - Do you have an Internet/E-Mail point in the Property?
At present there are no facilities on site for internet access. There are however internet cafes and bars in the city centre. - Is there a swimming pool? When is it open?
Close by the guest house, there is an international sized swimming pool and full gymnasium where the Commonwealth Games have been held. - Is parking or garage available?
We are located just outside the central controlled parking zone and parking is free and on street. This is a rare treat so close to the city centre. - Where can we rent a car?
There are many car rental companies within the city or from Edinburgh Airport. Some of the companies offer delivery to your guest house please ask for current details at the time of booking. - Which is the nearest airport?
The nearest airport is Edinburgh International Airport some 10 km from the guest house. Glasgow Airport and Newcastle Airports are just 1 to 2 hours away. - Do you have a pickup or shuttle service from and to the airport?
Transportation to/from the airport can be arranged at your cost. However there are excellent facilities into the city centre from the airport. - Which is the nearest railway station?
The nearest railway station is Edinburgh Waverely which is right in the city centre just below Edinburgh Castle. - Is there a fitness center in the Property (Gym, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Turkish bath...)?
There is a fitness centre at the Royal Commonwealth Pool close by with full facilities. - Are pets welcome?
Guest may bring one pet only, which will be the responsibility of the guest. - Is there a restaurant in the Property?
In view of the considerable variety of restaurant options available in the near vicinity we feel that you are amply provided for already. - Can I connect my modem so that I can surf the Internet from my room/apartment?
At present there is no facilities for modem connections in the rooms.
