• At what time can we check-in and out?
  All accommodations, Check In from 3pm, Check Out before 10.30am. Please let us know in advance what time you intend to check in.
• Is the price per room/apartment or per person?
  Rates are per person.
• Is breakfast included in the price and what type of breakfast?
  A Highland mainly organic 3 courses breakfast is included in prices. Fruit Salad or Birchemuesli; Porridge cream and honey or cereals; 4 excellent Highland fish courses or Scrambled egg and fresh herbs or French Toast and bacon; fresh coffee; Aiberdeen butteries; Oatcakes & cheeses; Croissants.
• Is heating included in the price?
  The Guesthouse has new top of the range central heating and excellent insulation quality in the newbuild (2003) B&B annexe at this 1850's mansion.
• Can we settle the bill on arrival?
  Bills settled on arrival.
• Which languages are spoken at the reception?
  English, French, German and currently Polish.
• How many floors are there in the building and do you have an elevator (lift) in the building?
  Ground and 1st floor. No lift.
• Are there quiet, private, romantic rooms?
  The 2003/4 newbuild development at The Guesthouse has ensured 5 garden view very quiet romatic rooms with excellent built in noise and heat insulation. The new rooms have double glazed sash and case windows.
• Are linens and towels provided or do I need to bring my own?
  Linen and towels are provided.
• Do the rooms/apartments have a terrace/courtyard?
  No terrace. No courtyard. But beautiful walled garden grounds with childsecure gated croquet lawn and 150 yr Cedar Tree and attractive herbaceous borders.
• Do the rooms/apartments have a balcony?
  No, they do not.
• Do you have non smoking rooms/apartments?
  All our accommodation is strictly non smoking.
• Is there a TV in the rooms/apartments? Are there international channels (satellite or cable TV)?
  TV in rooms.
• Is there a telephone with direct dialling in the rooms/apartments?
  No telephone.
• Is there air conditioning in the rooms/apartments? Is there any extra charge for this? Is it seasonal?
  No, there is not.
• Is there a dining room where we could sometimes all dine together?
  The Dining room is elegant and attractive with 19th century oils and family portraits.
• Do you have an Internet/E-Mail point in the Property?
  No, we do not.
• Is there a swimming pool? When is it open?
  No, there is not.
• Is parking or garage available?
  Yes, it is available off street.
• Where can we rent a car?
  Arnold Clark carhire Agency at The Guesthouse@Eskbank.
• Are there grocery stores or supermarkets in the surroundings?
  24 hour at Tesco supermarket - 600 yds.
  Dalkeith Shopping Center - 450 yards.
• Which is the nearest airport?
  Edinburgh.
• Do you have a pickup or shuttle service from and to the airport?
  Meet & Greet taxis at C. 20 lower cost than airport taxis can be arranged (only with flight number). Flydrive can also be arranged - the Guesthouse@Eskbank has a car hire agency.
• Which is the nearest railway station?
  Edinburgh Waverley.
• Is there a fitness center in the Property (Gym, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Turkish bath...)?
  No, there is not.
• Are pets welcome?
  Medium pets are welcome.
• Is there a restaurant in the Property?
  No, there is not. But there are 5 local restaurants and 2 castles nearby for romatic evening dinner.
• Can I connect my modem so that I can surf the Internet from my room/apartment?
  No, you cannot.
