Dunstane House Hotel Edinburgh, situated close to the city centre and Edinburgh Castle in the prestigious West End. Come and stay with us in our small privately owned hotel offering the best of facilities including Taste of Scotland awarded seafood/scottish restaurant and malt whisky bar.

We have four poster bedrooms available
and  conference and meeting rooms that can also serve as a wedding venue. We offer a specialist service for golfing breaks and holidays, where courses and tee times can be booked along with your room reservation.

Dunstane House was built in 1852 to the design of the famous architect William Playfair,
who also designed the nearby Donaldson's College for the Deaf.

Dunstane Villa, as Dunstane House was first named, was the private residence of the Ross family, famous for their Edinburgh Castle Rock and other specialist Scottish confectionery. The bandstand in Princes Street gardens takes its name from the Dunstane family.

The House retains its Victorian architectural grandeur which, combined with an intimate country house atmosphere, ensures our guests leave with lasting memories of Dunstane. Crow step gables, archers' windows and ornate open fireplaces give Dunstane the feel of a small castle.
