Facilities within the Property

The hotel is deceptively spacious and has copious areas of relaxation, dining and wining space, cosy, comfortable and attractively decorated and oozing rustic, traditional charm, class and style. You can't help but relax and de-stress here. Quietly enjoy pre-dinner aperitifs, after dinner liqueurs, speciality coffees and wonderful Scottish malts, table served if you prefer. Soak in a great book. Enjoy board and card games with and amongst friends. Be yourselves or take an opportunity to meet new friends or share experiences with fellow guests in a mellow, friendly and quietly relaxing environment. Enjoy a simple touch of traditional elegance, liberally sprinkled with the very best of modern comforts.

Dunalastair, where an atmosphere of easy friendliness allows perfect relaxation. Where the scenario is one of the most beautiful, timeless parts of Perthshire, where all the adventure and drama, the romance and intrigue is etched into the contours of evocative, peaceful and serene landscapes which surround, with colours changing as the seasons. Or why not turn leisurely evenings into memorable nights if you will, rekindling the traditions of yesteryear. Meet up before dinner in the whisky bar (or in the pub if you prefer a more vibrant highland atmosphere) and chat about the experiences of the day with other guests, whilst studying and selecting the culinary and delights which await you.

Then let the evening develop as you will. Few hotels in Scotland can boast such a special setting for a memorable dining experience as the magnificent wood-panelled restaurant at Dunalastair, very much baronial and very 'highland' indeed in character, with a roaring log fire in a feature fireplace, and its adjoining little aperitifs or after dinner drinks bar where you can enjoy a little change of atmosphere before or after dinner, perfect for those wanting a more intimate, romantic atmosphere and where you can smoke too if you wish! Our restaurant is non-smoking. A true Scottish experience would not be complete without savouring a whisky or two in our "Whisky bar" with its light hearted charm and intimate character. With a balanced selection of single malts, the bar has enough to please even the greatest of connoisseurs.

We feel that no truly Scottish traditional highland hotel is complete without the 'country pub' and no highland experience complete without a visit to one. Our rather quaint, totally authentic little stone pub lies across the hotel courtyard in a converted stone barn giving it a gloriously rustic, rather addictive ambience only enhanced by the roaring open log fire and the sheer conviviality and friendliness of the local population who are so welcoming to visitors and enjoy many a crack or a yarn with them usually over some 'golden liquid'! And on sports nights, the large, state of the art plasma screen provides touch line viewing and atmosphere!
