Our room was wonderfully decorated, the breakfasts delicious, and Ian was delightful. It was obvious that Ian had invested much of himself in the house, and he was a wonderful host.

i would recomend the hotel a friend. the hotel is smart clean and the staff are very helpful. i would stop there again. it very beautiful hotel perfect for couple on a romantic trip to edinburgh

The Davenport House is a great bed and breakfast. The manager is very helpful, accommodating, and provides a great breakfast. I was very satisfied with my stay.
One thing to note is that the rooms are at the top of four or five flights of stairs, and that the hotel is located at the bottom of a hill. I would not recommend the hotel to anybody with difficulty walking.
