The person who greeted us was pleasant and helpful, giving us very good information about restaurants in the Old City.

The room we had was clean and quite adequate for our needs. It was small, be we expected it to be. It was facing the main street, so there were traffic sounds -- which couldn't be helped. The house itself was quiet.

I don't remember if it's clear on your website that the named street location given for Dalmore Lodge is different from Corstorphine Rd., but that it is actually right on Corstorphine. If we hadn't had a taxi, we would have had trouble finding it because we would have been looking for a separate street. I can't remember if on the website it says that the house is right across the street from the Zoo; if not, that would help immensely.

Dalmore Lodge is a small guest house and met our needs very well, being on a main bus route into Edinburgh and easily accessible by road.

It is very convenient if you have children at the nearby universities (eg Queen Margarets) and just opposite the zoo which was well worth the visit we made.

Value for money with no pretensions - you get exactly what you expect and can choose your own breakfast!

the room was very clean and tidy, the breakfast was excellent, and Iain could not do enough to help, a very enjoyable stay.

The room was very clean and spacious and we were lucky enough to be offered the use of a small fridge for the last two days of our stay. We would definitely stay at the Dalmore Lodge again the next time we are in Edinburgh.
