 Dalmore Lodge is located in the district of Corstorphine, between Edinburgh airport (15 minutes by bus) and the city centre (10 minutes by bus). There are numerous local buses to take you into town with the bus stop handily located outside our door. Near the guest house there are several restaurants, shops, banks and a couple of chemists. Within 10 minutes you can reach the centre of Edinburgh where you can find all you need. Banks and chemists are also available.

By Train
Coming from Waverley Bridge station, you can take the airport bus, number 100, directly outside the station and the bus stop is in front of the house: opposite the zoo.
By Plane
The airport bus service, number 100, again stops directly outside our door. Just ask the driver to let you off at the Zoo and we are exactly opposite!
By Car
-From Edinburgh airport follow signs to city centre. Follow A8 for 5.5 km. Dalmore Lodge is situated on the right after Corstorphine village, opposite
Edinburgh Zoo.
-From the city centre head for the airport along the A8 until you come to Edinburgh Zoo.
-From the West, exit the M8 motorway at Junction 1, take the A720 northbound for Edinburgh West. At the Gogar roundabout, turn right onto the A8. Follow A8 for 5 km to Edinburgh Zoo.
-From the North, approach Edinburgh on the A90, turn right at the Barnton junction heading for the A8. At the Maybury junction, turn left onto the A8 City Centre. Follow A8 for 5 km.
-From the South, from the A1 follow signs for A720 Edinburgh west and north.
-Follow A720 until Gogar roundabout. At the Gogar roundabout, turn right onto the A8. Follow A8 for 5 km.
By bus from the city centre
Take Lothian Region buses 12, 26 or 31 to Edinburgh Zoo, First Bus 86 or the airport bus. |
