• At what time can we check-in and out?
  All accommodations, Check In from 1pm until 2pm and from 5 to 7 pm (please let us know your approx. arrival time), Check Out by 10 am. Please let us know in advance what time you intend to check in.
• Is the price per room/apartment or per person?
  All tariffs are per person per night
• Is breakfast included in the price and what type of breakfast?
  Breakfast is included in the price, which consists of
  Tea / Coffee/ Fresh Fruit Juices / Toast / Fresh Fruit / Cereals / Full Scottish Cooked Breakfast including Haggis and Black Pudding. Vegetarians are also catered for.
• Is heating included in the price?
  All Rooms are provided with full central heating throughout included in the price.
• Can we settle the bill on arrival?
  All balances due can be settled on arrival by cash or credit card only.
• Which languages are spoken at the reception?
  English.
• How many floors are there in the building and do you have an elevator (lift) in the building?
  There are 2 floors to the guest house which is accessed by stairs only, sorry there are no ground floor rooms.
• Are there quiet, private, romantic rooms?
  As we are situated in a side street there is no constant noise of passing traffic. The rooms on the top floor and to the rear of the house are very quiet, we pride ourselves on having a very quiet family run house for all guests staying ì.
• Are linens and towels provided or do I need to bring my own?
  All bed linens and towels are supplied.
• Do the rooms/apartments have a terrace/courtyard?
  No, they do not.
• Do the rooms/apartments have a balcony?
  No, they do not.
• Do you have non smoking rooms/apartments?
  The House is totally non smoking.
• Is there a TV in the rooms/apartments? Are there international channels (satellite TV)?
  There is a colour TV in all rooms but we have no satellite channels.
• Is there a telephone with direct dialling in the rooms/apartments?
  No, there is not but there is a payphone in the hallway for guests use.
• Is there air conditioning in the rooms/apartments? Is there any extra charge for this? Is it seasonal?
  No air-conditioning. We are in Scotland!!
• Is there a dining room where we could sometimes all dine together?
  The Dining Room is set as to accommodate a single person to a family of 3 or more persons. However there are many good value restaurants within a 10 mins walk of the guest house and we shall gladly advise you when you arrive. If you request we shall phone ahead and book the restaurant for you and arrange for a bottle of Champagne if desired for that special occasion.
• Do you have an Internet/E-Mail point in the Property?
  We do not have internet access at the guest house but there are many Internet cafes within a short walk
• Is there a swimming pool? When is it open?
  We do not have a swimming pool but the Royal Commonwealth Pool is a 10 mins walk away and also has a fitness centre, sauna, steam room.
• Is parking or garage available?
  We have limited parking at the rear of the guest house and free on street parking as from 5.30pm to 8.30am the following morning.
• Where can we rent a car?
  There are numerous car hire places in Edinburgh City and at the Airport, the closest is in the Waverly Station which is 10 mins away by bus. Some Offices may deliver the hire car to your accommodation but please check this on your booking of the car.
• Which is the nearest airport?
  Edinburgh International Airport wich is 20 mins away by car or taxi. There is an airport shuttle bus to the city centre every 10 min. Glasgow airport is 50 mins away by car or 1hr by bus to the city centre of Edinburgh.
• Do you have a pickup or shuttle service from and to the airport?
  No, we do not.
• Which is the nearest bus-stop?
  The bus stop is 2 min. walk to the end of the street , there are a dozen buses that go directly into the city centre and run every 10 to 15 mins.
• Which is the nearest railway station?
  Waverley Station which is 10 mins away directly in the city centre.
• Is there a fitness center in the Property (Gym, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Turkish bath...)?
  No, there is not.
• Are pets welcome?
  No, sorry.
• Is there a restaurant in the Property?
  No, there is not but there are many restaurants within the vicinity of the guest house that will cater for all tastes in food.
• Can I connect my modem so that I can surf the Internet from my room/apartment?
  No, you can not but there are many Internet cafes nearby.
