  • At what time can we check-in and out?
    Check-in: anytime.
    Check-out: 11 am but you can leave your luggage. Please let us know in advance what time you intend to check in.
  • Is the price per room/apartment or per person?
    Prices are per person.
  • Is breakfast included in the price and what type of breakfast?
    It is included traditional English breakfast including porridge, bacon, sausages, omelettes and the Archie's Special.
  • Is heating included in the price?
    Yes, it is.
  • Can we settle the bill on arrival?
    Yes.
  • Which languages are spoken at the reception?
    English and a little French.
  • How many floors are there in the building and do you have an elevator (lift) in the building?
    Two floors no lift.
  • Are there quiet, private, romantic rooms?
    Yes, all of them.
  • Are linens and towels provided or do I need to bring my own?
    We provide them.
  • Do the rooms/apartments have a terrace/courtyard?
    No, there are no terraces.
  • Do the rooms/apartments have a balcony?
    No, there are no balconies but guests are welcome to use the garden.
  • Do you have non smoking rooms/apartments?
    The whole house is non smoking but you can smoke in the garden.
  • Is there a TV in the rooms/apartments? Are there international channels (satellite or cable TV)?
    Yes, sorry no satellite.
  • Is there a telephone with direct dialling in the rooms/apartments?
    No, there is not.
  • Is there air conditioning in the rooms/apartments? Is there any extra charge for this? Is it seasonal?
    No, there is not but it is not necessary.
  • Is there a dining room where we could sometimes all dine together?
    Yes, the breakfast room.
  • Do you have an Internet/E-Mail point in the Property?
    Yes, by prior arrangement with Archie.
  • Is there a swimming pool? When is it open?
    No, there is not.
  • Is parking or garage available?
    No, but you can park in the street for free after 17.30 pm.
  • Where can we rent a car?
    Waverley Station (5-10 minutes away).
  • Which is the nearest airport?
    Edinburgh Airport (15 km).
  • Do you have a pickup or shuttle service from and to the airport?
    No, but we can book a taxi for you.
  • Which is the nearest railway station?
    Edinburgh Waverley.
  • Is there a fitness center in the Property (Gym, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Turkish bath...)?
    No, there is not.
  • Are pets welcome?
    On request.
  • Is there a restaurant in the Property?
    No, there is not.
  • Can I connect my modem so that I can surf the Internet from my room/apartment?
    Yes, you can.
