Lounge and Diningroom: The Guests' Lounge is a quiet place to sit and read, with a traditional fireplace, dark wood furniture, and light coloured fabrics. The Conservatory Breakfast Room is south facing so is always bright. It overlooks a secluded garden where birds and other wildlife can be seen. |
Breakfast consists of freshly prepared fruit juices, fresh fruit salads, yogurts and cereals, along with hot Scottish Porridge and a traditional hot cooked breakfast. This is complimented by home-made bread, oatcakes, jams and preserves, tea, fruit tea, and coffee (decaffeinated available). Special dietary needs can be catered for if advance notice is given. |
Bedrooms: All of the bedrooms are tastefully furnished to a very high standard in traditional pine. They each have ensuite facilities (shower/toilet/washbasin), TV, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities, direct dial telephone with internet port for laptop connection (you need to have an ISP). |
Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the house.
Ashdene House is located one mile south of Edinburgh's Old Town where most of the city's historic visitor attractions can be found. |

Edinburgh minitary tattoo: A spectacle not to missed in August every year on the castle esplanade, the castle as a backdrop. Featuring the massed pipes and drums from Scotland and around the world.
