Where We Are

29 Craigmillar Park, Edinburgh, EH16 5PE

Alba House is conveniently situated 2 km south of city centre. There is a bus stop close to the house and the very frequent bus service takes just five minutes to reach the historic city centre. With such a frequent bus service it hardly seems worthwhile taking the car. The guest house is located in Craigmillar Park, at number 29.

How To Reach Us

By Car
If you are travelling by air the nearest airport is Edinburgh airport. To reach us from the airport, follow the signs for A720 (City-Bypass). Drive in the direction of Edinburgh South. Leave the A720 at The Straiton Junction (Loanhead) and follow the signs for city centre (A701). Follow the A701 through three main sets of traffic lights (approximately 3 miles). At the traffic lights at Cameron Toll stay in the middle lane. Alba House is on your right.

By Plane
Coming from the airport, you can take a taxi, which will bring you directly to the house or the bus. Take the Airlink, leaving from the airport to the city centre. Get off in Princes street and change the bus to Craigmiller park. From Princes street, take the bus number 3, 3A, 37, 37A or go to North bridge, following Princes street and you can take, number 7, 8 or 31.

By Train
If you arrive by train the easiest way to get here is by taxi. It takes the strain out of negotiating traffic and buses with heavy luggage. However, if you decide to travel like the locals, make your way out of the Wavarley station to Princes Street, cross the road and take any of the following buses: 3, 3a, 31, 37, 37a and ask the driver to let you off at the last stop on Craigmillar Park. You will need the exact fare for the bus.
