Facilities within the Property
|The Airds has two lounges both of which offer luxurious surroundings. The large lounge has plenty of soft sofas and armchairs and is decorated in rich colours to promote an intimate atmosphere. A log fire adds to the sense of cosy well being whilst contemporary art on the walls and the occasional object d'art appeals to those with an artistic interest. The smaller lounge is brighter and also offers a log fire which is always roaring away unless a heatwave has struck. This lounge may appeal to the more traditional as here, older paintings and prints take pride of place on the walls. The conservatory offers stunning views of the loch and the mountains beyond.|
|Wicker furniture provides a comfortable base from which to admire the view or perhaps the abundance of flowers surrounding you as you enjoy a coffee or tea. The restaurant also offers stunning views across the loch and provides for relaxed surroundings in which to enjoy world class cuisine. The decoration aims to combine the best of traditional and contemporary decor - a modern take on chinz. The front garden which leads down to a track allowing you access to the shoreline, offers impressive views whilst enabling you to enjoy your drinks or afternoon tea seated at teak furniture and parasols. |

Horse riding is popular and is a five minute drive, tennis is also 5 minutes away and sailing can be arranged (you can join your boat at Port Appin pier, an 8 minute walk from the hotel.
Boat trips around the loch are popular and sometimes you even get to drive.
Further afield, Oban is 20 miles away and offers many tourist shops as well as the ferry terminal which gives you access to many of the hebridean island. The most popular ferry trip is to Mull and Iona which can be achieved in a day. Heading north brings you to Fort William and Ben Nevis, the tallest mountain in the U.K. A gondola ride up it's neighbouring mountain provides for truly spectacular views.
There are too many castles nearby to name them all, however, the most popular are Duart Castle, Torosay Castle, Urquart Castle and Tioram Castle - all of which can be visited in a day.
