Skiing, Snowboarding and Telemarking in Scotland

There are five main ski areas in Scotland that offer downhill skiing, snowboarding, and cross country skiing (telemarking).

The northern fields of Cairngorm and the Nevis Range offer great skiing amidst spectacular mountain vistas. Further south the fields of Glencoe and Glenshee have well established facilities and are an easy drive from Glasgow or Edinburgh. Lecht in the very north is a friendly field with gentle slopes that are great if you are trying skiing or boarding for the first time.

The season usually runs from December to April. The weather can be changeable so check before you head for the slopes - on a fine day you'll have a wonderful time.
