By Car
From Edinburgh airport: depart Edinburgh airport; merge on to A8 (Glasgow road) and follow for about 6,5 km onto South Charlotte Square. Keep straight onto Charlotte Square. Turn right(East) onto Queen Street [Albyn Place]. Turn right (South) onto Frederick Street. Arrive No 53 Frederick Street, Edinburgh, EH2 1LH.
From Glasgow airport: depart Glasgow airport on Caledonia Way (East). Heading for Sign "M8 / Edinburgh / Paisley / Renfrew / Glasgow". Merge onto M8 and travel for approx. 78 km. At main roundabout, take "A71 / A720 /Edinburgh West /City Centre /Kilmarnock/. Keep left to stay on Ramp, at roundabout, take the first exit onto A71 [Calder Road]. Turn left (North) onto Balgreen Road. Continue (East) on this road till you approach A700 [Lothian Road]. Turn left (North) onto A700 [Lothian Road], turn right (East) onto A8 [Princes Street], then turn left (North) onto A8 [South Charlotte Street]. Keep straight onto Charlotte Square. Turn right (East) onto Queen Street [Albyn Place]. Turn right (South) onto Frederick Street and you are arrived at No 53 Frederick Street.
By Train
From Waverley station exit to Princes Street then, walk to your left towards the castle: Frederick Street is the third turning to the right (next turning after Hanover Street). The B&B is located just over George Street and past Thistle Street on the right hand side, above the hairdressers. Alternatively the B&B is only a short taxi ride away and taxis' are readily available at the station.
By Plane
From Edinburgh airport without a car take either the N.100 Airlink shuttle bus to Princes Street or a taxis. The only stop for this service on Princes Street is situated just past the bottom of Frederick Street and the B&B is located just over George Street and past Thistle Street on the right hand side, above the hairdressers. Alternatively the B&B and the city centre is only a 20 minute short taxi ride away and taxis' are readily available at the airport. |
